5 Secrets to Crafting your Career Story with Confidence
I grappled with my identity and career
I’ve been in your shoes! Early in my career, I thought I would always follow a linear career path. I was on track, reaching my goals of becoming an HR Manager at 25, and Director of Human Resources at 30. But when you least expect, life throws you curve balls, and my once linear career path was disrupted by the birth of my first child.
Now don’t get me wrong, I was over the moon to become a mom, I just wasn’t fully prepared in how to integrate my former work self with my new mom self. I struggled to find a balance between the two and without resources or support, I ended up leaving my career, that I had worked so hard for.
Lost, confused, alone with a young child and career break, my confidence was zero. I grappled with my identity as it had previously been tied to my career. During my career break, I reflected on who I was as an HR professional with this new identity of becoming a parent. My values and goals had shifted, and I knew I did not want to return to Human Resources, yet I wanted to use this knowledge and skills in a different way to really help people and truly make a difference in their lives.
Through volunteer work with nonprofits supporting individuals navigating career transitions and job loss, I began to rebuild my confidence and skills. This led me to find my true passion for career coaching. Following my passion, I pursued certification becoming a Certified Professional Career Coach (CPCC), through the Professional Association of Resume Writers and Career Coaches (PARW/CC).

Certified Professional Career Coach
My career journey began in Human Resources, where I spent over a decade supporting individuals and organizations through change. I held various roles across recruitment, HR management, and labor & employee relations.
What I enjoyed most about my work in HR was connecting and helping people. Supporting them through growth, change, uncertainty, and pivotal career moments. I listened to their concerns, helped navigate complex conversations, and saw firsthand how deeply work impacts confidence, identity, and overall well-being.
That desire to support people is the common thread that connects my HR background to the work I do today as a career coach.
As a certified professional career coach, I help clients navigate career breaks and career transitions, helping them reframe their experiences, uncover transferable skills, and move forward with clarity and confidence.
My approach to coaching is grounded in empathy and focused on helping people align their careers with what matters most to them. If you’re navigating a career transition, returning after a career break, or simply thinking about what’s next for your career, I’d love to connect and support you along the way.
